May Newsletter, 2025

Dear RCDP Families,

Happy May! It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of another school year. What a special and meaningful year it’s been with all of you. Whether your family joined us recently or you’ve been with us for many years, thank you—from the bottom of our hearts—for being part of our RCDP community. Watching your little ones grow, learn, and shine has been such a joy, and we’re so grateful to walk this journey with you.

As we step into the final months of the 2024–2025 school year, we’ve been reflecting on just how much love, growth, and connection this year has brought. From new friendships and joyful milestones to heartfelt changes and improvements, it’s been a year full of warmth and wonder—and we’re so excited for what’s still to come.

This month is filled with celebration and connection. We’ll be honoring our amazing teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4th to May 8th. On Friday, May 11th, we’ll be hosting Muffins with Mom from 7:30 to 10:30 AM—a simple but special way to celebrate all the incredible moms and caregivers in our lives. We’ll also be celebrating Spirit Week from May 11th through May 15th, all leading up to our sweet and special Graduation Day on Wednesday, May 15th at 4:00 PM. And a quick reminder—school will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

To our families with graduating children—words can’t quite express how proud we are of your little ones. They’ve grown so much, and it’s been an honor to be part of their journey. We can’t wait to see all the beautiful places they’ll go next—and know that a little piece of RCDP will always go with them.

This summer, we’re planning a fun and engaging curriculum for the children joining us! We’ll be exploring topics like dinosaurs, oceans, and so much more, all through hands-on activities and play-based learning. We also want to make the most of the sunny days ahead, so expect water play, chalk art, bubbles, and plenty of joyful outdoor time as we wrap up the school year on a playful note.

We’re also excited to share that we’ll be starting a renovation of our Infant Program this summer. From June through July, we’ll be expanding our infant classroom to give our littlest learners more space to move, explore, and grow. We can’t wait to share this transformation with you!

Through all the growth and change this year, we’ve been deeply reminded of the heart of RCDP—our team. We are so incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff who have stayed grounded and committed through our leadership transition and ongoing program updates. They are the heart of everything we do, and we are endlessly thankful for their care, dedication, and love for your children.

We’re also beyond excited to have welcomed a new administrative team this year: Sydney, our Marketing Specialist; Karla, our Administrative Coordinator; and McKenzie, our Assistant Director. These three women have brought such strength, joy, and vision to our school, and they’ve already made a world of difference in helping everything run smoothly and beautifully.

And finally, a heartfelt thank you to the Church Council, Personnel Committee, RCD Board, and every member of the church community who supports the preschool—whether weekly, monthly, or behind the scenes. Your steady support, encouragement, and partnership make all of this possible. We are so blessed to be part of a larger community that truly believes in and uplifts our mission.

The biggest and most heartfelt shout-out goes to Candi, Sharrie, and Pastor Kelly. Your steady guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support have helped us grow RCDP in ways we couldn’t have imagined. From September to now, your belief in the program and the children we serve has shaped this community in the most meaningful ways. We are endlessly grateful for you.

Thank you for trusting us, for partnering with us, and for making RCDP the loving and vibrant place it is. We’re so lucky to do this with you. Here’s to a joyful wrap-up of the school year—and a summer full of fun, wonder, and community.

With so much love and gratitude,

Bhavya
