About Us

Resurrection Lutheran Church in Dublin, California is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and was established in 1962. At the heart of our community is worship. We gather together every week to hear and study God’s Word, to celebrate the gifts that God has given us, and offer our thanksgiving and prayers.

Resurrection is a welcoming community with friendly and diverse members. We are a community that is grounded in Christ and that encourages our friends and members to grow in faith. Our mission as individuals and a community is to invite, grow, and serve as God calls us. We endeavor to do this in many ways: we invite others into community through worship, concerts, fellowship activities, and movie nights; we grow through prayer, services, Bible studies, and education; we serve by reaching out through collections for local needs like food and clothing, offering the use of our facility to other nonprofit groups and organizations, and serving through a variety of volunteer opportunities.

We also are blessed with a wonderful Child Development Program which provides care and education for infants through pre-kindergarten age. This ministry has been in place since 1973.

Our worship services follow a general order of service familiar to Lutheran tradition while also including a range of songs from hymns to praise music. All are welcome to receive Holy Communion.

We offer opportunities to teach our children the Christian story, while expanding their minds rather than narrowing their perspective. We are more interested in helping our members and friends find their way in life, rather than engineering ways to help preserve an institution.

If you are looking for a church community that supports you in making a difference rather than a donation, we believe you’ll find a welcoming home at Resurrection.
