Music & Worship
There are many ways to be involved with the Music and Worship Ministries at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Opportunities include:
Joining the Resurrection Singers Choir – Adding your voice or your instrumental skills in leading praise music during Sunday services and special services throughout the year. We have a Grand Piano and beautiful Organ but would love to add guitars, drums, and other instruments to our praise of God.
Resurrection Singers – Lead the congregation in praise music during worship services. Our music style is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Serve as an Assistant Minister – Share the readings, offer prayers, and assist with the distribution of Communion.
Become a Member of the Altar Guild – Prepare the Communion elements for Sunday services, set up for special services, and change paraments and banners to reflect the season to name a few of the important tasks the Altar Guild manages.
Be an Usher – Greet people as they come in and help visitors with any questions or needs.
Participate on the Worship Committee or Planning / Shaping Worship Team – Offer your ideas at monthly meetings to improve and enhance our worship experience and assist in the selection of music sung and played during worship.
Run the Soundboard – Take care of the technical side of worship, using our computer, sound, and projection equipment to share readings, lyrics, pictures, and upcoming events on the overhead screen, monitoring the quality of sound in the sanctuary and live streaming Sunday services.
Record the Livestream of Sunday services – Man the camera for our livestream feed during worship.
